Privacy policy
Klipeak pays creators per view. That means knowing who you are, which clips are yours and how many views they got. This page says exactly what is collected, why, and what is not.

1.Data controller
The data controller is Benjamin Savon, 33000 Bordeaux, which publishes the service available at klipeak.com.
For any question about your personal data: privacy@klipeak.com.
2.Data we collect
We only collect what the service needs to work. No data is bought from third parties, and nothing is collected for advertising.
- Account
- Name, email address and profile picture passed on by the service you sign in with (Google or Discord), along with the access tokens needed to keep the session alive. We neither receive nor store your password.
- Creator profile
- Display name, optional bio, date of birth (the service being for adults only), country of residence (two-letter code, required for tax obligations) and payout email address.
- Tax identification
- First name, last name, postal address, date of birth, country of tax residence and taxpayer identification number (TIN). This data is collected and verified by our payment provider when you open your payout account, then passed back to us for the sole purpose of the annual platform operator return. It is only requested from creators who are actually paid.
- Claimed social accounts
- Public handle, public identifier, profile URL and temporary verification code, for each account you connect. Verification consists of posting that code in your bio: it proves the account is yours and stops anyone else submitting your clips in your place.
- Submitted clips
- Clip URL, video identifier on the platform, title, thumbnail, duration and publication date where the platform exposes them.
- Public statistics
- View count, and depending on the platform the number of likes and comments. These values are read several times a day and the timestamped history is kept.
- Payments
- Amounts earned and paid, payout method, period concerned, transaction reference given by the provider and, where relevant, the reason for failure.
- Technical data
- Server logs generated on each request (IP address, date, page requested, user agent) and a session cookie.
We collect neither bank details (they stay with the payment provider), nor identity documents, nor any data deemed sensitive under article 9 of the GDPR.
3.Why, and on what legal basis
- Performance of the contract
- Creating and maintaining your account, showing campaigns, recording your clips, counting views, working out earnings and making payouts. Without these, the service cannot be delivered.
- Legitimate interest
- Detecting bought views and fraudulent behaviour, securing accounts, preventing abuse and keeping proof of what was counted in case of a payment dispute. The balance is this: without a history of readings, a payment dispute would be impossible to settle.
- Legal obligation
- Keeping accounting records, and declaring each year to the French tax authority the identity of paid creators and the amounts paid to them, under article 1649 ter A of the French tax code. This processing does not rest on your consent and cannot be objected to: without this data, the law forbids us from paying out your earnings.
We make no fully automated decision producing legal effects for you: when a spike in views is judged abnormal, it is set aside with its reason and can be re-examined by a person.
4.Data from social platforms
Klipeak queries the official interfaces of TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, Instagram and X to measure the audience of the clips you submit to us yourself. The scope is deliberately narrow:
- We only access the public information of the clip concerned: title, author, thumbnail and audience counters.
- We access neither your private messages, nor your contact or follower list, nor your drafts, nor content you have not submitted to a campaign.
- We never post on your behalf and never alter your content.
- The data obtained is used solely to work out your payment and to justify it to the studio. It is neither sold, nor rented, nor used for advertising targeting.
- When you disconnect a social account, delete a clip or delete your Klipeak account, the corresponding platform data is erased from our systems, subject to the accounting retention periods in section 5.
This processing complies with the terms of use of the platforms concerned. Your relationship with each of them remains governed by its own privacy policy.
5.Retention periods
- Account and profile
- Kept while the account is active, then deleted within 30 days of your deletion request.
- Clips and view readings
- Kept for the whole duration of the campaign, then 3 years after it ends. That period covers the window during which a payment can be disputed.
- Payment records
- 10 years from the close of the financial year, in line with French accounting obligations.
- Tax identification data
- Kept until the end of the tenth year following the one for which the platform operator return was filed. This period is imposed on us: it outlives the deletion of your account, but the data then serves only to answer an audit by the tax authority.
- Server logs
- 12 months at most.
6.Who has access to your data
Your data is never sold. It is accessible to the following people and providers, each limited to what they need:
- The studios whose campaigns you join: they see your display name, the clips you submit to them and the views counted on those clips. They see neither your email address, nor your payout details, nor your earnings on other studios' campaigns.
- Vercel Inc., host of the application and its database.
- Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., payment provider, with whom you open your payout account. They collect your identity, your supporting documents and your bank details, and execute the transfer.
- The French tax authority, recipient of the annual platform operator return, and where relevant that of your country of residence in the European Union, to which it is forwarded.
- Google and Discord, for authentication, if you choose to sign in through them.
- The competent authorities, on lawful request.
7.Transfers outside the European Union
Some of the providers above are established in the United States. These transfers rest on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or on an adequacy decision, depending on the provider. You may ask us for a copy of the applicable safeguards.
8.Cookies
Klipeak sets only a session cookie, strictly necessary to keep you signed in. It is not subject to prior consent.
We use no analytics tool, no advertising tracker and no third-party share button.
9.Security
Exchanges are encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to the database is restricted and the tokens issued by third-party platforms are not exposed to the browser. No system is infallible: in the event of a data breach likely to create a high risk to your rights, you will be informed in accordance with article 34 of the GDPR.
10.Your rights
You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, as well as the right to set directions about what happens to your data after your death.
To exercise them, write to privacy@klipeak.com from the address linked to your account. We reply within one month.
If our answer does not satisfy you, you may refer the matter to the CNIL — 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07 — cnil.fr.
11.Minimum age
Taking part in campaigns is for adults only. Your date of birth is asked at sign-up and governs both submitting a clip and paying out your earnings.
It is kept only for that check and for the reporting obligations that fall on platforms; it is neither displayed publicly nor shared with studios.
12.Changes
This policy may change. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page, and any substantial change will be notified to you by email or at your next sign-in.
